Across the ATCO Group of Companies, innovation and a commitment to excellence is driving significant efforts to reduce environmental impacts. For example, as part of Alberta Power (2000)’s commitment to “Water for Life: Alberta’s Strategy for Sustainability” initiative, a new wastewater lagoon began operating at the Sheerness Generating Station in 2006. The lagoon is designed for zero wastewater discharge.
